Cittadella del Vino (Citadel of wine)
Winery visits, tastings, events, celebrations...
Modern architecture integrated with nature and...awarded!
An area of around 32 acres, a 500-metre glass façade and a stunning wave roof; plus a winemaking cellar and a bottling cellar, offices, a commercial area and space dedicated to winery visits and events (with an auditorium and exhibition area): the Cittadella del Vino (Citadel of wine) is not only the largest industrial complex dedicated to wine in Europe, but above all a place for meeting and sharing, built in symbiosis with nature. This is quality architecture by Alberto Cecchetto, an internationally renowned lecturer and architect, who has been awarded prizes and exhibited in international exhibitions several times.
The barrique cellar: where our wines rest
The barrique cellar is the place where time shapes elegant, fragrant wines in harmony with the Trentino terroir. Here, maturation in the noble French oak wood and in ideal conditions for temperature and humidity guarantees a constant evolution of the aromas and structure of both red and white wines. On the one hand, the selection of the wood, the long maturation of the staves and the delicate toasting of the wooden containers allow us to respect the territoriality of our wines; on the other hand, the use of different types of containers (225l barrique, 500l tonneaux, 50, 68, 75hl barrels) is at the basis of the perfect sensory balance between the aromas of our wines and those aromatic notes of the woody essences.
