Mezzacorona produces this rich red wine with the best grapes coming from the vineyards along the Adige Valley.
Vinification
The grapes undergo the traditional red wine vinification process at a temperature of 26°C for 12-13 days with selected yeasts, followed by a 10-month aging in 3-year and lightly toasted French oak barrels. Finally, the wine is refined for a further period of 12 months in steel and bottle.
Characteristics
This wine is at its best with rich and spicy appetizers of cold cuts and seasoned cheeses. It enhances first course dishes with ragu’ sauce, lasagna, game main courses and grilled meats.The bouquet is and complex, gives hints of ripe red berries, blackberry, blueberry. This wine offers delicate notes of vanilla, almond coming from the refinement in wood.
