70% Teroldego 30% Lagrein
Hand harvested to ensure optimum ripeness, only the best quality grapes are delivered to the winery. After the separation of the stems and the grapes’ skins, the maceration starts, with frequent pumping over of the must. The fermentation happens at controlled temperature of 25°C (77°F) for about 12 – 13 days. The wine ages for 24 months, 12 of which in oak barrels (Allier and Troncais) and finally refined in the bottle.
Color: intense and deep ruby-garnet very deep and impenetrable.
Bouquet: intense and complex with a perfect balance of red fruits and spicy notes.
Flavor: displays ripe red and black fruits of cherries and blueberry with an uncommon juiciness and balance. Notes of toasty oak, vanilla and spiciness add complexity.
This wine is as close as any vintner can come to expressing an ideal profile of grapes used in blend. For the generosity of fruit and body it pairs well with seasoned cheese, red meat and game.
