Mezzacorona cultivates this variety in Trentino, in the vineyards of Piana Rotaliana.
Pressing with separation of the stems. Maceration of the skins (reworked several times) and temperature controlled fermentation at around 25-26°C (77-79°F). Maturation in oak barrels for 6-8 months.
Wine with ruby red color, intense and velvety. It has an intense profume with black currant wild-berries aromas, eucalyptus and liquorice, dark chocolate and graphite, the brief refinement in wood releases spicy and toasty notes. Well-structured, dry, full-bodied with velvety tannin and elegant.
Ideal companion to cold cuts, traditional first courses, roasted meats and delicate game.
