Wines from the Dolomites
Located at the foot of the snow-capped Dolomite
mountains which block the cold winds from the
North of Europe, the Trentino region enjoys a
warm Mediterranean climate and crystal clear
sunlight. The landscape is characterised by deep
valleys, more than 400 lakes and numerous
glaciers of the surrounding mountains, peaking
at over 9,000 feet. All in all an uncontaminated
environment with a perfect climate to create
elegant, vivid and crispy varietal wines.
Mezzacorona only
cultivates its own vineyards in the heart of the
Dolomites. Each vineyard is planted with single
varietals only and the various 14 varietals,
international and indigenous, are accurately
selected, managed and vinified to offer 100%
single variety wines to the final consumer:
Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Teroldego, Müller-Thurgau,
Marzemino, Merlot… Just to mention the most
common.
The state-of-the-art
Mezzacorona wineries and the expertise of over
100 years of winemaking tradition preserve the
typical Trentino elegance and crispiness of the
solid and consistent wines.
Pinot Grigio and
Chardonnay are dominant in the Trentino region.
These varietals are well-known for their floral
tones, exotic fruit, ripe aromas and silky
smoothness on the palate. Mezzacorona is the
largest Italian estate producer of these two
varietals. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon also
have a long history in the region. They are
vinified in such a way that the varietals’
flavour of berries, black fruit, chocolate and
toasted almonds are preserved.
The Mezzacorona wines are
crafted as the ideal aperitif and the perfect
complement to Italian and international
cuisine.
Mezzacorona is constantly
highly rated in the international press and
renowned for its quality consistency, vintage
after vintage.
Mezzacorona, the elegance
of Trentino wines.
